![]() ![]() Zeus had the sky, Poseidon had the sea, and Hades had the underworld. ![]() According to the myths, Zeus was the king and the three divided power between the realms. The King of Atlantis overwhelmed Darkseid with his waterborne magic while Artemis shot him with Ares and Zeus weakened the invader with his lightning. He resided in his kingdom and rarely left. The Earth remained with the primordial goddess Gaia. He should, therefore, beat most people on this list, assuming the most current issue doesn't show them doing universe-busting feats. In Greek mythology, Zeus and Poseidon were two of the ruling brothers of the pantheon along with the third brother, Hades. Zeus became the god of the sky, Poseidon became the god of the sea, and Hades became the god of the Underworld, an unseen realm where human souls go after death. He's also got plenty of antifeats that suggest he's not actually this strong (see my post about Typhon's several iterations).īut yea, if we give Zeus the absolute best, self-wanking statement possible, it'd be that one. I covered this in a Basically, the single greatest feat of strength as declared by Zeus himself comes from the Iliad, when he says (paraphrasing), "If all the gods of Olympus, and all men, were to stand on the earth and I were to sit in Olympus, and a golden rope connected you to me, I could pull the entirety of the earth, gods, and men to me before you could pull me from my seat." Of course, Zeus is notorious for being a braggart and trickster. Through these concepts, the Greeks were attempting to explain their relationship with verticality. The TL DR is that Zeus shitstomps anyone who isn't planetary. Hades took the darkness of the realms under the earth, while air and sky and clouds were the portion that fell to Zeus but earth and great Olympus are the common property of all. I don't know DC as well as some others here, but I do know my mythology. Chiron, do you accept my full blessing and your role as my championDarkseid. Zeus has all feats listed in greek mythology I gave Poseidon, Hades, Zeus, Hestia, Hera, and Demeter my full blessing. ![]()
